As the last step of our hiring process, this is your day to experience what it’s like to be a bunqer and show us how you can make a difference.

How does it work?

This is a trial day done right. You get the true bunq experience and the opportunity to show your skills.

To test your knowledge and mindset, we have an assignment waiting for you to solve. We set you up for success by giving you full access to any relevant data or tools - you can also ask for help from your future colleagues! Present us with your solutions and show that you've got what it takes to be a bunqer, by making a difference in just one day.

This is a chance to engage in our company, in our culture and see what it's like to work with us. This is your chance to take a close look at us to see if this is for you and a chance for us to get to know you in person. Lunch is on us, and we'd love for you to stay for dinner too!

‍What to expect

Traditional companies hire based on experience and reputation. At bunq, we hire based on talent and growth potential. We go big on:

1. Ownership 💪🏼

Ownership means solving a problem for our user, Eva. We literally organize our work around blocks of what Eva needs. Thus ownerships are building blocks for quantifiable results. Each person might have one or more ownerships and is personally responsible for the outcomes.

2. Effective communication 🗣

Effective communication is all about leaving no room for confusion. Think of it like how pilots talk – there's no room for guesswork. We always make sure to share deadlines and give a nod when we get a message. We call it Robospeak, and trust me, it does the trick! And, a couple of things to keep in mind:

-Keep it short and sweet, we like to get straight to the point.

-We take deadlines seriously around here! So if a deadline becomes a bit of a stretch, we'll shoot you a quick message and toss in a new, doable deadline. Example: 20230415 1800 AMS

3. Show me the data 💻

Data is our hero for all decisions. We don’t want to assume or guess anything. You might think this stifles creativity, but it’s the opposite. Data allows for an objective assessment of all our creative ideas. This approach within bunq strengthens trust, and opens up maximum creativity without losing effectiveness.
